Sen. Obama was in Wisconsin today where he gave a speech in which he said; “Let me lay this out, because I want everybody to know the differences between myself and Senator McCain in this campaign.”
That was the one and only time in the entire speech that Obama mentioned McCain… so what does the McCain camp do?They release a press release that whines reads; “As Americans teeter on the edge of economic crisis, Barack Obama continued attacking John McCain today...”
‘Attacking John McCain’?? Really?
Now... my reaction to this is the same reaction that the Obama campaign evidently had when they sent out this press release; “Given the fact that Barack Obama did not attack John McCain today, it is a telling admission that the McCain campaign saw Barack Obama’s attack on eight years of greed and irresponsibility in Washington as a personal attack on John McCain. We’ll leave it up to the McCain campaign to explain why they get so offended and defensive when George Bush’s record is attacked.”
For someone who’s been trying awfully hard to distance himself from the current CIC, the McCain campaign’s whining about one sentence in a speech does a nifty job of tying the two together again.
So we WILL leave it up to the McCain campaign to explain why they get offended when Obama rightfully attacks “President” Bush’s record.
Though I will NOT be holding my breath.
