- Authorities revealed yesterday that a man carrying a loaded shotgun was arrested in January near the U.S. Capitol… okay, that’s nothing too shock—what’s that? His truck filled with explosives was parked nearby and went undetected for three weeks?? Fabulous… thank you very much Homeland Security…

That the most recent S&P/Case-Shiller home price index shows that U.S. consumers “are more nervous about the future than at any time since December 1973, when Richard Nixon was President”? It’s true… and when you add that home prices in 20 U.S. metropolitan areas “fell 10.7 percent in January,” (which marked the sharpest decline since 1987) you have all the ingredients of a bad road ahead… (but the economy is still basically sound and people aren’t nervous at all… could this White House be ANY more out of touch with the people?)

We've talked about the registration of Democrats in Pennsylvania, actually, in my Government class in school. The theory we came up with was that Republicans were converting so they could try to decide who runs against McCain in November. But then there's also been some fear of some of said Lieberman-clones not returning to the Republican party. But that's just the wild speculation of a bunch of lower-to-mid-lower-income-bracket, high-achieving high school juniors.
On the note of Democrats and PA, Bill Clinton spoke in my town a few weeks ago. I don't necessarily support his wife, but he seemed to be a great speaker.
