The Monday ‘BushWhack’ing

Rats… already.

  • The US has seized Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, thusly putting the Bush(whacked) Administration in charge of the twin mortgage giants… cuz that’s exactly who you want in charge of them, the people that ran the country’s economy into the ground. We are SO screwed…
  • A republican strategist says Sen. Obama should have chosen Sen. Clinton as his running mate… and we should listen to you because you have the best intentions for the Democrats in mind, right? Ya dumbass…
  • Both the Obama and McCain campaigns are hitting the trail hard this week, aiming at some key battleground states… stay tuned and pay attention.
  • McCain vows that he will have Democrats in his Cabinet. Seems to me we’ve heard that from a republican president before and he never followed through on it. Who was that? Oh right, “President” Bush… just goes to show you that McCain is more of the same Bush style of crapping politics.
  • CNN republican-fellating headline of the day; “Is Sarah Palin being held to an unfair standard?” (Um… no. She’s the vp candidate, not a den mother… so yes, we hold them – ALL of them – to a higher standard… it doesn’t, despite what some moronic pundits think, has nothing to do with her sex. She’s a vp candidate with no experience, a history of lying, and hasn’t actually said anything about what she’s for… things we need to know when choosing the new leader of our country. Perhaps if you stopped kissing the McCain campaign’s ass, you would be able to, I don’t know, report on something. Like her lying about the bridge to nowhere…)
  • Gen. Petraeus will hand over the command of U.S.-led forces in Iraq to Gen. Raymond Odierno on September 16th…
  • The cover of the new issue of the New Yorker spotlights the plethora of houses owned by McCain…
  • And have we mentioned? That Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice continues to NOT wholeheartedly back McCain’s campaign? In an interview this past weekend she was asked about Quayle Palin as VP and she offered an endorsement that was less-than full-throated, saying; “there are different kinds of experiences in life that help one to deal with matters of foreign policy.” (Uh-huh… but when Obama chose Biden you said that he was “a very fine statesman.” What’s the deal Condi? Changing sides after seeing your career get severely derailed by participating in this administration?)

REMEMBER THIS IN NOVEMBER

In just one year . Remember the election in 2006?

Thought you might like to know the FACTS:

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate
(stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with
what's han ded to him.

Joke of the Day........"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history
of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it."
-- Barack Obama

Taxes... Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics
enlightening and amazing
www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html>

The democratic candidate will return to the higher tax rates

It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama is elected, he says he will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? Read this:

Boy am I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.

I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.

I hope the following 14 reasons are read over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them. I have included the URL's for verification of all the following facts.

So Thruthseeker, are you saying that illegals are the root of all of our problems? All of your mentioned millions and billions don't equal a fraction of the Bush War(s). Besides, if Illegals disappeared overnight, the country would shut down immediately. Our spoiled American teens are too good for the jobs that they do, and you talk about inflation! Who else would work for $10/hour doing backbreaking work?

As for blaming Congress for all of the ills, they've tried to enact change, but the minority refuses to cross the aisle on vote, so GW keeps vetoing everything. It's called a stalemate.

Plus, to blame the result of the failed policies on recent Congress is imbecilic. You repukes always look for someone to blame...
