Quick note on the states

It's late, I'm tired. I have been working on my thoughts about this evening and I know that in the morning I will have to edit what I have written to see if it makes sense.

Right now I am struck by some of the statistics.

Some of the states that have traditionally gone in the Republican column, and were considered to be battleground states, have thrown their support to President-Elect Obama.

• Virginia (has gone Democrat for the first time in over 40 years)
• Florida
• Pennsylvania
• Ohio
