Another day closer to Christmas Holiday Christmas...
- I’ve been trying to write a post about how pissed I am with Joe Lieberman (
Ir-CT) endorsing and saying that John McCain (r-AZ) can reunite the country but I can’t put it into the proper words so I’ll just say this; ignore him… and he'll go away... - The House approved a $515.7 billion domestic spending measure that will fund every agency of government but the Defense Department for fiscal 2008 in a direct challenge to “President” Bush on his budget demands (wow, signs of balls from the Dems or just lip service?). The House then voted to approve an amendment that would include $31 billion for the war in Afghanistan but none for the war in Iraq… (interesting strategy, stay tuned…)
- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) delayed the Senate’s vote on a new government eavesdropping bill until January…
- A new USA Today/Gallup Poll shows Americans are not only sick and tired of the president, but also congressional Democrats AND congressional republicans. The unfavorable ratings for all three are by “more than 2-to-1 margins.” Now, it’s well known that Bush’s ratings have been poor for most of the past two years and will likely only get lower, but the two parties in Congress hit new lows in the poll…(that’s what happens when you campaign on change and then do absolutely nothing…)
- CNN Headline; “(Ron) Paul ‘pleasantly surprised’ at $6 million fundraising haul” Too bad he’s crazy as a fucking loon...
- And have we mentioned? That former President Bill Clinton says that the first thing his wife Hillary will do when she reaches the White House is reach out to the first President Bush? It’s true… he said Hillary would dispatch him and predecessor, George H.W. Bush, on an around-the-world mission to repair the damage done to America's reputation by the current (and GOD WILLING LAST!!!!) President Bush…
