Have some ‘hump day’ whackings...
- Much like the last presidential election, Las Vegas is shaping up to be a battleground for the 2008 tilt as well, stat tuned…
- I’m not a fan of political pundit Roland Martin, per se, but his latest salvo about not letting a few select states choose the president in the primary is pretty damn accurate. The time of Iowa and New Hampshire has passed, and it’s time that the national parties and the states themselves see that. The primary process, like life, needs to adapt, move forward and change with the times...
- When it's all said and done, every American family in the US will have paid $46,000 to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan...
- As the presidential race heats up, some of the lower-tiered candidates are getting desperate. Case in point, gop hopeful Tom Tancredo’s (r-CO) latest campaign ad depicting a terrorist attack on a mall. It’s no Goldwater Nuke ad, but it comes ridiculously close… and by ridiculous I mean that the American people don’t need to be reminded of the terrorist threat to our country, and by depicting it in an attempt to garner votes with politics-of-fear tactics is below even you… well, maybe not you…
- Mitt Romney (r-MA) is spending more than $85,000 a day on campaign ads for a total of $10.25 million while Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) has spent a total of $3.9 million so far.
- The Justice Department is opening an investigation into the Bush(Whacked) Administration’s no-warrant electronic surveillance program… and I’m sure what they find will be accurate and truthful… (It’s so hard to express sarcasm in the written form…)
- And have we mentioned? That a new American Research Group poll finds that 55% of voters believe President Bush has “abused his powers”? As if that wasn’t bad enough, 55% also believe that he’s abused his powers in a manner that rises to “the level of impeachable offenses under the Constitution.” (But let’s not call for impeachment… after all, he’s done nothing as serious as screwing an intern…()
