- The Democratic presidential candidates staged another debate yesterday in Las Vegas, and it was a heated debate to say the least. All were in attendance, Clinton, Edwards, Obama, Biden, Richardson, Kucinich and Dodd. The primary target was “frontrunner” Hillary Clinton (D-NY) who mostly traded barbs with John Edwards (D-SC) and Barack Obama (D-IL)… pundits suggest that Clinton overcame her “issues” with the last debate and won this one… stay tuned.
- The Iowa republican Party (insert own joke here) canceled a presidential debate scheduled to be televised on Fox “News” on Dec. 4 because Romney
was afraidrefused to attend. (My thought? So effin what that Romney wouldn’t be there… I say still stage it and make his campaign the target of all the slinging. Canceling a debate because one candidate couldn’t be there is rather inane… but then again, it IS the republicans…) - And when I say they were all there, I qualify that by saying all of them were there that could afford to be there. Mike Gravel was excluded from the debate because of lackluster fundraising… and the fact that I have a better chance of getting the nomination than he does…
- The National Right to Life Committee endorsed Fred Thompson (r-TN) as their presidential nominee… which should easily propel him to victory…(It’s so hard to express sarcasm in the written form)
- Obama won the endorsement of the United Auto Workers in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota earlier this week…
- The shady political strategies have officially started as New Hampshire and Iowa residents have been receiving phone calls this week that raised questions about Mitt Romney’s background...
- Romney took a swipe at Rudy Giuliani this week as he said that Rudy himself is partly responsible for the vast number of illegal immigrants living in the U.S. today… (Uh, okay… rather shallow reasoning there Mitt…)
- Now that he's moved up to second place in Iowa (really??) Mike Huckabee is “now in his opponents crosshairs”…
- And have we mentioned? That the chairman of the republican National Committee, Mike Duncan, said yesterday that the party is ready for the Democrats in Nevada? Duncan proclaimed as such during an interview with Wolf Blitzer after last night’s Democratic Debate… to which I, along with many others I suspect, would say to him that, at this stage, the rNC is not really ready for ANYTHING, yet along battling the Democrats in a strategic battleground state.

Let's see if Ron Paul goes to Iowa anyway and has his own questions and answer day.
