Another miss

So… the latest McCain ad takes shots at Sen. Obama for not visiting troops on his recent Euro Trip.

And to get that point across the ad shows footage of Obama… visiting troops.

Um… I think you’re doing it wrong.

Um... who wants to tell him?

“President” Bush issued a statement today that announced new sanctions against Zimbabwe.

Said Bush; “The regime has also continued its ban against NGO activities that would provide assistance to the suffering and vulnerable people of Zimbabwe. No regime should ignore the will of its own people and calls from the international community without consequences.”

That bang you heard was my head exploding due to the irony of this statement…

Another poor schlub drinks the Bush Kool-Aid

We all know that Bush’s presidential library and museum is being planned at Southern Methodist University… and that a majority of the faculty and staff at the university are NOT happy about it.

Design firm PRD Group has been hired as the “interpretive planner” for the library and museum, and while the architect for the project said that there will be “no bombast or boredom” to Bush’s library, it’s the comments from the founder of PRD, Dan Murphy, that really shrieks of inanity as he had this to say about the task at hand;

“We’re not really just trying to put a front cover and back cover around eight years of a presidency. […] “We have a much bigger story about America and about the history of the presidency and about the American experience. … We’ve got a great, great, great story.”

Would you trust this firm?

Remember how we told you earlier this week that the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, Retired Vice Admiral Scott Redd, said this weekend that the U.S. is not “tactically” safer as a result of the Iraq war and that, over the short term, the Iraq war has created a “giant recruiting tool” for terrorists and that his view is the polar opposite of the White House’s view?

Well, citing a need to have both knees replaced and the desire to more time with his grandchildren, he resigned today.

Yes, you read that right; he resigned today.

I’m sure there’s no correlation between his interview and his sudden departure... no, not at all.

Uh, huh…

WTF?

As if we needed more proof that some people are not only idiots, but shouldn’t be allowed to come within 1 mile of a voting booth, we get this ‘gem’…

“President” Bush was in Rogers, Arkansas today, and during a Q&A, one individual stood up and told the president that a lot of his friends wished that Bush could serve “another four years.”

What the hell is wrong with these people?

The economy is circling the drain… the Iraq war is a lost cause… Afghanistan is a forgotten war in the White House… the gop is in disarray, primarily because of the current commander in chief… and the war-drums are beating for Iran…

All of this, and there are STILL some people in this country who think this man is doing a good job.

It’s absolutely mind-boggling… no, let me call it what it is; pathetic…

Rove’s Ridiculous Rhetoric

Outgoing White House adviser Karl “Presdident” Rove wrote an op-ed in the National Review recently that extolled Bush’s greatness and predicted that “history will provide a more clear-eyed verdict on this president’s leadership than the anger of current critics would suggest.”

Uh-huh… anything more to say on the subject Karl?

“President Bush will be viewed as a far-sighted leader who confronted the key test of the 21st century. […] He will be judged as a man of moral clarity who put America on wartime footing in the dangerous struggle against radical Islamic terrorism. […] President Bush will be seen as a compassionate leader who used America’s power for good. […] I have come to understand true leadership leans into the wind. It tackles big challenges with uncertain outcomes rather than taking on simple, sure tasks. It does what is right, regardless of what the latest poll or focus group says. History demands much of America and its leaders and I am confident it will judge the 43rd president as a man more than worthy of the great office the American people twice entrusted to him.”

Uh… okay…I suppose anything is possible…
